Influence of Emotional Intervention and Video Health Education on Negative Emotion and Blood Glucose Control in Elderly Patients with Diabetes Nephropathy
Objective To explore the effect of emotional intervention combined with video health education in elderly patients with diabetes nephropathy(DN).Methods A total of 98 elderly patients with DN admitted to Yellow River Central Hospital from January 2021 to September 2022 were randomly divided into two groups with 49 cases in each. The routine nursing in the control group and emotional intervention in the observation group combined with video health education lasted for 3 months. The compli-ance behavior, negative emotion, blood glucose control level and self-care ability of the two groups were compared. Results The compliance rate of the observation group was 95.92%,which was higher than 81.63%of the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in negative emotion, blood glucose level or self-care ability between the two groups before interven-tion(P>0.05).After intervention, the scores of self rating anxiety scale(SAS),self rating depression scale(SDS),fasting blood glucose level, postprandial blood glucose level and glycosylated hemoglobin level in the observation group were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).The self-concept score, health awareness score,self-responsibility score and self-care skill score in the exercise of self-care agency scale(ESCA)scale were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Emotional intervention combined with video health education can reduce the negative emotion of DN patients, improve the self-care ability and the compliance behavior, and enhance the effect of blood glucose control.
