Effect of Houpo Paiqi Mixture(排剂)Combined with Acupuncture on Recovery of Gastrointestinal Function in Postoperative Patients with Multiple Injuries in Intensive Care Unit
Objective To explore the effect of Houpo Paiqi Mixture(厚朴排气合剂)combined with acupuncture on the recov-ery of gastrointestinal function in patients after multiple injuries surgery in intensive care unit.Methods Eighty patients with post-operative gastrointestinal dysfunction after multiple injuries admitted to the intensive care unit of the hospital from January 2020 to January 2021 were selected and divided into an observation group and a control group,with 40 cases in each group,according to different intervention measures.The control group was treated with acupuncture while the observation group was treated with Hou-po Paiqi Mixture on the basis of the control group.The recovery of gastrointestinal function,intervention effects and incidence of complications were compared between the two groups.Results After the intervention,the recovery time of bowel sounds,anal ex-haust time and dietary recovery time in the observation group were significantly shorter than those in the control group(P＜0.01).After intervention,the intra-abdominal pressure and intestinal dysfunction scores of the two groups decreased signifi-cantly compared to those before intervention and those of the observation group were lower than those of the control group,with a statistically significant difference(P＜0.01).There was no difference in the incidence of complications between the two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion Houpo Paiqi Mixture combined with acupuncture can promote early recovery of gastrointestinal function in patients with multiple injuries after surgery and improve the treatment efficiency,and is worthy of promotion and application.
