Effect of Warming Acupuncture and Moxibustion at Back-Shu Acuoints Combined with Auricular Seed Implantation on Heart Function and Quality of Life of Elderly Patients with Heart Failure
Objective To explore the effect of warming acupuncture and moxibustion at back-Shu acuoints combined with au-ricular seed implantation on cardiac function and quality of life of elderly patients with heart failure.Methods A total of 88 pa-tients with chronic heart failure who were hospitalized in the hospital from September 2021 to October 2022 were selected as the study subjects.According to the method of random number table,the enrolled patients were divided into observation group and control group,each with 44 cases.The control group was treated with conventional anti heart failure drugs and routine nursing in-tervention.On the basis of the control group,the observation group was given warm acupuncture and moxibustion at back-Shu acuoints and auricular seed implantation intervention.Cardiac function[left ventricular end diastolic diameter(LVEDD),left ven-tricular end systolic diameter(LVESD),left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)],the levels of N-terminal proBNP(NT proB-NP)and high-sensitivity cardiac troponin Ⅰ(hs-TNⅠ)and quality of life were compared between the two groups before and af-ter intervention.The intervention effects between the two groups was compared.Results After intervention,the values of LVEDD and LVESD in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,while the value of LVEF was higher than that in the control group.The levels of NT-proBNP and hs-TNⅠ in the control group were lower than those in the control group.The Minnesota heart failure quality of life scale(MLHFQ)scores were significantly lower than those of the control group(P＜0.05).The total effective rate in the observation group was 97.73％,significantly higher than 81.82％in the control group,with a statis-tically significant difference(P＜0.05).Conclusion Warming acupuncture and moxibustion at back-Shu acuoints combined with auricular seed implantation can effectively improve the cardiac function of chronic heart failure,reduce the levels of NT proB-NP and hs-TNⅠ,and improve the clinical effect and the quality of life.
