heavy drug eruption is an inflammatory reaction of the skin and mucosa that is triggered after the drug has been in-troduced into the body through inhalation,injection,or oral route,which can lead to the involvement of other systems of the body.Severe drug eruption is characterized by critical illness,rapid progression,and high lethality,which greatly damages the life health of patients.There are many treatments for severe drug rash in the clinic,but there is still a great controversy about the application dose and the timing of use,and traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)has a unique advantage in the treatment of se-vere drug rash;In this review,we specifically discuss the management and progress of severe drug eruption.
