Clinical Efficacy of Acupotomy Combined with Warm Needling Therapy for Cervical Radiculopathy
Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of acupotomy combined with warm needling therapy for cervical radicu-lopathy.Methods Eighty-five patients with cervical radiculopathy in The Third Affiliated Hospital of Xinxiang Medical College from January 2020 to January 2022 were enrolled, and classified into two groups according to different treatment methods.Control group(n=40)received conventional needling therapy, while observation group(n=45)received acupotomy combined with warm needling therapy. Then the clinical efficacy rate,Simplified McGill pain score, neck disability index, and Serum inflammato-ry markers were observed in both groups. Results After treatment, the overall efficacy rate of observation group was higher(P<0.05).The sensory-PRI,affective-PRI,VAS and PPI scores showed a decrease in both groups after treatment(P<0.05),and observation group scored were lower(P<0.05).There was a decrease in neck disability index in both groups after treatment(P<0.05),and the decrease was more notable in observation group than in control group(P<0.05).Serum levels ofIL-1,IL-1β,IL-6 and TNF-α showed a decrease in both groups after treatment, and the serum levels of four inflammation factors were lower in observation group than in control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Application of acupotomy combined with warm needling therapy for cervical radiculopathy can effectively alleviate the pain,in terms of the reduction in PRI,VAS,PPI and neck disability index.
