Objective To explore the effectiveness of hospital traditional Chinese medicine risk management on the rational use of traditional Chinese medicine in clinical practice.Methods From August to December 2019,the traditional Chinese medicine decoction prescriptions issued by the hospital before the implementation of traditional Chinese medicine risk management were se-lected as the control group,with a total of 1467 prescriptions.A total of 1894 outpatient Chinese medicine decoction prescriptions issued by the hospital after implementing Chinese medicine risk management from January to April 2020 were selected as the ob-servation group.The control group adopted the conventional traditional Chinese medicine management measures,while the obser-vation group adopted traditional Chinese medicine risk management.It compared the accuracy rate and decoction error rate of two groups,the incidence of unreasonable prescriptions and the incidence of adverse reactions of Chinese medicine.Results The cor-rect rate of traditional Chinese medicine decoction pieces in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group,and the error rate of decoction of traditional Chinese medicine decoction pieces was significantly lower than that in the con-trol group with statistical significance(P＜0.05).The total incidence of unreasonable prescriptions in the observation group was 6.60％,significantly lower than 21.88％in the control group,with a statistically significant difference(P＜0.01).The total in-cidence of adverse reactions to traditional Chinese medicine in the observation group during telephone follow-up was 6.71％,lower than 16.41％in the control group,with a statistically significant difference(P＜0.01).Conclusion Traditional Chinese medicine risk management can improve the accuracy of traditional Chinese medicine decoction preparation,reduce the error rate of traditional Chinese medicine decoction and the total incidence of unreasonable prescriptions,effectively prevent the occurrence of adverse reactions of traditional Chinese medicine,further ensure the quality of traditional Chinese medicine quality control man-agement,and ensure the medical safety.
