Based on the Theory of Intestinal Flora Mediating Brain-Gut Axis, the Mechanism of TCM Regulating AIDS-Related Diarrhea was Investigated
HIV related diarrhea is closely related to the human intestinal immune function and the activity of gut microbiota. The brain gut axis is a complex neuroendocrine network that can regulate the brain and gastrointestinal tract in both directions. The gut microbiota is one of the pathways of the brain gut axis.In addition, research has found that the gut microbiota of the hu-man body changes with changes in the intestinal immune status and is also significantly influenced by the nervous system, which can reverse regulate the balance of gut microbiota. The treatment of AIDS related diarrhea by traditional Chinese medicine has been discussed, but there is less research on whether there is correlation between TCM and HIV related diarrhea based on the theory of intestinal flora mediated brain gut axis.Therefore,in-depth study of TCM treatment based on the theory of intestinal flora mediated brain gut axis will provide a new treatment method for AIDS related diarrhea in clinical prevention and treatment.
