Analysis of The Effect of Acupuncture on Gastrointestinal Dysfunction after Lumbar Fusion
Objective The effect of acupuncture on gastrointestinal dysfunction after lumbar fusion was observed.Methods 80 patients hospitalized in orthopedic department of Liaoning Provincial People's Hospital during the period from August 2021 to De-cember 2022 were collected.According to the principle of randomization,44 people were in the acupuncture group and 36 people in the non-acupuncture group.The acupuncture points include Tianshu,Zhongwan and Zusanli.Gastrointestinal function and sat-isfaction were observed.Results The incidence of postoperative abdominal distension,constipation,and gastrointestinal dysfunction was lower in the acupuncture group than in the non-acupuncture group(P<0.05).Primary postoperative exhaust and defeca-tion time were faster than non-acupuncture(P<0.01).The satisfaction with the improvement of gastrointestinal symptoms and quality of life in the non-acupuncture group was better than that in the non-acupuncture group(P<0.05).Conclusion The in-cidence of gastrointestinal dysfunction after lumbar fusion is high,which can prevent and reduce the incidence of gastrointestinal dysfunction,effectively promote postoperative exhaust and defecation,play an obvious role in relieving postoperative abdominal distension and pain,accelerate the rapid recovery of patients,and improve patient satisfaction.
