Combing the ancient literature materials of"heel"systematically,the theory of meridian and Zang-Fu organs,acupoints,symptoms and medical records were discussed in this paper.The study has found that the anatomical part"heel"in common knowledge has rich connotation,wide application and multi-dimensional attributes in ancient literature,which greatly enriched the current understanding of this part,and also provided a new idea for clinical diagnosis and treatment of acupuncture and moxibustion.Therefore,for the expression that we are accustomed to at present,we need to broaden our vision,investigate systematically and analyze deeply.
