Ovarian endometriosis cyst,also known as ovarian chocolate cyst,is a common pathological type of endometrio-sis,but also a common gynecological disease,difficult to treat.It brings chronic pelvic pain,dysmenorrhea and menstrual disor-ders,which seriously affect women's physical and mental health.This article aims to elucidate the pathogenesis and treatment strategies of ovarian endometriosis cysts from both traditional Chinese and Western medicine perspectives,providing a compre-hensive reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment of patients with this condition.Subsequently,a summary of recent research progress in both fields is presented.
