Role of Pyroptosis in Diabetic Nephropathy and Research Progress on Intervention of Traditional Chinese Medicine
Diabetic nephropathy(DKD)is a common disease and frequently occurring disease in our country.It is one of the most serious chronic microvascular complications in diabetes.If it is not controlled,it will develop into end-stage renal disease(ESRD).DKD is a metabolic disease with complex physiological and pathological mechanisms.There are many factors affecting its development,among which micro-inflammation is one of the common ways of progression of diabetic nephropathy.Pyroptosis is a recently discovered form of pro-inflammatory programmed cell death.It has been found that pyroptosis plays an important role in the development of DKD.In recent years,traditional Chinese medicine in the prevention and treatment of DKD has attrac-ted wide attention due to its advantages of low price,safety and reliability,good curative effect and other aspects.By summarizing the relationship between pyroptosis and DKD,it can clarify the mechanism of pyroptosis in DKD,and summarize the traditional Chinese medicine targeted treatment of pyroptosis to treat DKD,hoping to contribute to the treatment of DKD and the further dis-covery of traditional Chinese medicine.
