A Review of Non Pharmacological Western medicine combined with Traditional Chinese Medicine in the treatment of Knee Osteoarthritis in the Past Five Years
Knee osteoarthritis(KOA)is a common joint disease in clinical practice and has become an important factor af-fecting the quality of life of elderly people in China. In recent years, the development of non pharmacological Western medicine treatment for KOA has been more rapid, while traditional Chinese medicine is characterized by a combination of internal and ex-ternal treatment. If the two are organically combined, excellent results can be achieved. The author reviewed relevant literature in the past five years, elaborated on the pathogenesis of traditional Chinese and Western medicine in KOA,introduced the latest plans of joint cavity injection combined with traditional Chinese medicine treatment, and surgery combined with traditional Chi-nese medicine treatment. It is believed that knee joint cavity injection and arthroscopic surgery are currently commonly used non drug treatment methods, and combined with traditional Chinese medicine internal and external treatment methods, they have more ideal effects, making them a typical plan for combining traditional Chinese and Western medical methods. However,in the process of scheme selection,it is necessary to combine the two to play a complementary role in order to achieve the desired effect.
