Clinical Research Progress on Treatment of Pseudomyopia in Children and Adolescents Using Traditional Chinese Medicine External Treatment Methods
Pseudomyopia is a result of excessive stimulation of the eye's regulatory mechanism leading to an increase in re-fractive index.It is a common ophthalmic disease in children and adolescents,where the ciliary muscle is in a state of spasms and contraction for a long time.It is the early stage of true myopia development.At present,modern medicine mostly uses drugs for treating ciliary muscle paralysis.Although it is effective,there are side effects.In recent years,traditional Chinese medicine has achieved certain therapeutic effects in treating pseudomyopia with minimal side effects.Therefore,this article summarized the common suitable techniques of traditional Chinese medicine for treating pseudomyopia in children and adolescents by studying ar-ticles on the appropriate techniques of traditional Chinese medicine.The article summarized them from aspects such as acupunc-ture,ear point pressing pills,Tuina and moxibustion,in order to provide literature reference for the clinical application of appropri-ate traditional Chinese medicine techniques in the treatment of pseudomyopia in children and adolescents.
