Quantitative Analysis of Microscopic Characteristic Index of Huyan Wannianqing(Ornithogalum caudatum)from Different Origins
Objective By quantitatively analyzing the microscopic characteristic indices of Huyan Wannianqing(Ornithogalum caudatum)from different origins,to facilitate the differentiation of Huyan Wannianqing(Ornithogalum caudatum)herbs from dif-ferent origins and provide a new means for the quality control of Huyan Wannianqing(Ornithogalum caudatum).Methods The starch grains were selected as the index of microscopic characteristics of Huyan Wannianqing(Ornithogalum caudatum),and the volume analysis method was applied to optimize the homogeneous design of experiments to determine the microscopic characteris-tic indices of the starch grains in Huyan Wannianqing(Ornithogalum caudatum)herbs of different origins.Results The micro-scopic characteristic indices of starch grains in Huyan Wannianqing(Ornithogalum caudatum)varied considerably between differ-ent origins,ranging from 16 834.1 to 62 512.3 grains/mg.Conclusion The quantitative analysis of the microscopic characteristic index can be used as a basis for the identification of Huyan Wannianqing(Ornithogalum caudatum)herbs from different origins,and this method can provide a reference for the establishment of the quality standard of Huyan Wannianqing(Ornithogalum cau-datum),and lay a foundation for the correlation analysis of the microscopic characteristic index and chemical constituents of Huy-an Wannianqing(Ornithogalum caudatum).
