Cardiovascular diseases can be caused by the presence of myocardial fibrosis.Excessive buildup of extracellular matrix proteins and myofibroblasts is the primary cause of myocardial fibrosis.Currently,Western medicine does not provide a de-finitive and effective solution to the disease,often involving drugs,surgery,and other treatments;however,the associated costs and side effects are considerable.The clinical symptoms of myocardial fibrosis suggest that Tcm has a lengthy background,encompass-ing conditions such as"palpitations,""chest paralysis,""wheezing syndrome,"and various other diseases,frequently linked to external intrusions,unhealthy eating habits,mood disorders,chronic fatigue,and more,often exhibiting a dialectical nature in the development of this deficiency.Traditional Chinese medicine provides a distinctive perspective on the management of myocardial fibrosis.The combination of tcm and tcm therapy can alleviate the clinical symptoms of the disease,while the tcm treatment is more cost-effective and has fewer side effects,thus allowing patients to recuperate from the illness and reduce their financial bur-den.This paper collates the literature from recent years,and synthesizes the studies of various traditional Chinese medicine,pre-scriptions,and compounds on the comprehension and management of myocardial fibrosis,with the aim of offering novel concepts and pathways for the exploration of Chinese and western medicine in the treatment of myocardial fibrosis.
