Female pelvic floor dysfunction(PFD)is a type of gynecological disease caused by damage,degeneration,or functional defect of the pelvic support structure.Its incidence increases with the increase of women's age,and it is one of the chronic diseases that affect women's physical and mental health and quality of life.Through reviewing the literature on the treat-ment of PFD by acupuncture and moxibustion in recent years,it is found that acupuncture and moxibustion are widely used in the clinical treatment of PFD,no matter acupuncture alone or combined with other therapies,they have significant curative effect,indicating that acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of PFD has its unique advantages.This article provides ideas and basis for the in-depth study and promotion of acupuncture treatment of this disease.
