Research Progress on Animal Models of Atopic Dermatitis and Damp-heat Syndrome
Atopic dermatitis(AD)is a cell-mediated chronic inflammatory skin disease with altered immune response and barrier dysfunction,with high clinical morbidity and serious negative effects on patients'quality of life and mental health.The treatment of atopic dermatitis by biological agents has become a research hotspot.Traditional Chinese medicine has a long history of prevention and treatment of atopic dermatitis,and its efficacy and safety have been verified,and damp-heat syndrome is a common symptom of atopic dermatitis.Animal models are a bridge between clinical and basic research,and they are highly repro-ducible and effective.In this paper,the establishment process of animal models of atopic dermatitis is introduced based on the damp-heat syndrome in traditional Chinese medicine,and its research application is discussed,which provides relevant theoreti-cal support for the study of the pathological mechanism of AD and the development of traditional Chinese medicine.
