Autoimmune thyroiditis(AIT)is one of the most common autoimmune thyroid disorders,the etiology of which has not yet been clarified,but the focus of research is to correct autoimmune dysfunction.This is quite similar to the state of"relative equilibrium of yin-yang"pursued by traditional medicine.In the view of Traditional Chinese Medicine,it is caused by a variety of factors such as congenital constitution,emotion and diet,with Yang deficiency as the root cause and Yin abundance as the symptom,and related to Qi stagnation,phlegm congealment,blood stasis and other pathological manifestations,which involves the liver,spleen,kidneys and other internal organs.Therefore,the article is based on the theory of"relative equilibrium of yin-yang",in order to provide some new references for the combination of traditional Chinese and western medicine in the diagnosis and treatment of AIT.
