Diabetic kidney disease is one of the most common complications of diabetes mellitus and a major cause of end-stage renal disease.Its pathogenesis involves multiple signaling pathways and targets of action,including inflammation,cellular scorching,oxidative stress,and fibrosis,and they interact with each other.Western medicine treatment mainly relies on vasodilata-tion,which has limited effects.Chinese medicine,as a multi-component and multi-target drug,can exert synergistic effects on multiple signaling pathways in diabetic kidney disease and has a better therapeutic potential.In this paper,we review the signaling pathways and molecular mechanisms of TCM interventions in diabetic kidney disease in recent years,aiming to provide new ideas for clinical and experimental research.
