Geriatric depression is a kind of functional mental disease with continuous and significant depression,melancholi-a,and reduced pleasure as the main clinical manifestations,which seriously affects the patients'daily life and creates a heavy fam-ily and social burden.In recent years,with the gradual deepening of research,there is a significant association between intestinal homeostasis and the onset of depression in the elderly.In this paper,based on Li Dongyuan's representative theory of"Yin fire"theory,for seven lag,spleen and stomach deficiency,vitality,anger disorder,Yin fire hyperactivity,which prevents the operation of the qi and the qi to nourish the god,put forward based on the"Yin fire"to explore the relationship between intestinal flora disor-ders and elderly depression,can guide elderly depression clinical practice to provide a different treatment Angle.
