Objective:To observe the clinical effect of ultrasonic atomization of Chinese herbs combined with artificial tears in the treatment of dry eye with excessive tear evaporation.Methods:Eighty-six cases were divided into the study group and the reference group according to the random number table method,43 cases in each group. Both groups were treated with artificial tears, and the study group were treated with ultrasonic atomization of Chinese herbs. Results:The total effective rate of the study group was higher than that of the reference group(P<0.05).After treatment, the symptoms(foreign body sensation, fatigue, dryness, burning sensation, visual acuity fluctuation)and FL scores of the study group were lower than those of the reference group, while SIT and BUT scores were higher than those of the reference group(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of IL-17,IL-1 β,MMP-9 and MMP-2 in the study group were lower than those in the reference group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the study group and the reference group(P>0.05).Conclusion:Ultrasonic atomization of traditional Chinese medicine combined with artificial tears is effective in the treatment of dry eye with excessive tear evaporation.
