Objective:To observe the effect of Chinese herbs combined with thumbtack needle in the treatment of dry eye with liver and kidney yin deficiency type.Methods:Sixty cases(120 eyes)were randomly divided into group A(29 cases)and group B(31 cases).Group A were treated with Chinese herbs combined with thumbtack needle while group B were treated with sodium hyaluronate eye drops.Results:After treatment,the scores of TCM symptoms and signs and ocular surface disease index in group A were better than those in group B(P＜0.05).After treatment,the total effective rate of TCM symptoms and signs score and the total effective rate of ocular surface disease index score in group A were higher than those in group B(P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in intraocular pressure between the two groups after treatment(P＞0.05).Conclusion:The effect of Chinese herbs combined with thumbtack needle in the treatment of dry eye with liver and kidney yin deficiency type is better than that of sodium hyaluronate eye drops.
