Objective:To observe the effect of Shi's Niubangzi Decoction combined with warming needle moxibustion in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation(LDH).Methods:Eighty cases were randomly divided into the reference group and the combined group,40 cases in each group.Both groups were treated with warming needle moxibustion,and the combined group were treated with Shi's Niubangzi Decoction.Results:The total effective rate of the combined group was higher than that of the reference group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the scores of low back pain,lower limb fatigue,lower limb radiation pain and numbness in the combined group were lower than those in the reference group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the JOA score of the combined group was higher than that of the reference group,and the ODI and VAS scores were lower than those of the reference group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the hematocrit,plasma viscosity and erythrocyte deformation index of the two groups decreased,and the decrease of the combined group was more significant(P＜0.05).After treatment,the levels of PGE2,COX-2,IL-23 and 5-HT in the combined group decreased more than those in the reference group(P＜0.05).Conclusion:Shi's Niubangzi Decoction combined with warming needle moxibustion is effective in the treatment of LDH.
