Objective:To observe the curative effect of modified Taohong Siwu Decoction combined with acupuncture in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation(LDH)with blood stasis and qi stagnation.Methods:A total of 105 cases were randomly divided into two groups.Fifty-one cases in the control group were treated with acupuncture,while fifty-four cases in the observation group were treated with modified Taohong Siwu Decoction combined with acupuncture.Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The scores of lower limb traction pain,low back pain and unable to turn side in the two groups decreased,and those in the observation group were lower than the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the VAS scores of the two groups decreased,and that of the observation group was lower than the control group(P<0.05).The JOA scores of the two groups increased after treatment,and the observation group was higher than the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions such as rash,gastrointestinal reaction,and dizziness between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Modified Taohong Siwu Decoction combined with acupuncture is effective in the treatment of LDH with blood stasis and qi stagnation.
