Objective:To observe the effect of dexamethasone injection at Neiguan(PC 6)on preventing nausea and vomiting after patient-controlled intravenous analgesia(PCIA).Methods:A total of 114 cases were randomly divided into 3 groups, with 38 cases in each group.Group A were given dexamethasone acupoint injection after PCIA.Group B were given normal saline, and Group C were not given any intervention measures. Results:The pain score of Group A was lower than that of Group B and Group C at 12 h after PCIA(P<0.05),and the pain score of Group A was lower than that of Group B at 24 h after PCIA(P<0.05).The frequency and degree of nausea and vomiting in Group A were lower than those in Group C at 24 h after PCIA(P<0.05).Conclusion:Dexamethasone acupoint injection at Neiguan could reduce the frequency and degree of nausea and vomiting,as well as reduce pain.
