Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture in the treatment of postherpetic neuralgia(PHN).Methods:A total of 118 cases were randomly divided into the control group(58 cases)and the observation group(60 cases). Both groups were treated with conventional western medicine, and the observation group were treated with acupuncture and moxibustion. Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The time of pain improvement in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the VAS scores of the two groups decreased, and the duration of pain and the interval of pain were shortened(P<0.05).After treatment, the VAS score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the duration of pain and the interval of pain were shorter than those of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of TNF-α,IL-10 and IL-1β in the two groups decreased(P<0.05),and those in the observation group were lower than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Acupuncture and moxibustion could improve the curative effect of PHN.
