Objective:To observe the clinical effect of acupuncture combined with pneumatic therapy in the prevention of lower extremity deep venous thrombosis(DVT)after stroke.Methods:Seventy-three cases were divided into two groups.Thirty-five cases in the control group were treated with low molecular weight heparin sodium and air pressure therapy while thirty-eight cases in the observation group were treated with acupuncture and moxibustion. Results:After intervention, the incidence of swelling, pain and skin color change rate in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The proportion of low risk in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).The PT of the observation group was longer than that of the control group, and the levels of FIB and DD were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).The whole blood viscosity, plasma specific viscosity, hematocrit and platelet aggregation rate in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Acupuncture combined with air pressure is effective in preventing DVT after stroke.
