Objective:To observe the curative effect of Shaoyao Gancao Decoction in the treatment of functional constipation in children with intestinal dryness and fluid deficiency syndrome.Methods:A total of 138 cases were randomly divided into the observation group(70 cases)and the control group(68 cases).The observation group were treated with Shaoyao Gancao Decoction,while the control group were given lactulose solution.Results:In the observation group,the total effective rate of disease was 88.57%(62/70),the total effective rate of TCM syndrome was 92.86%(65/70),and the recurrence rate of disease was 22.92%(11/48).The total effective rate of disease in the control group was 77.94%(53/68),the total effective rate of TCM syndrome was 80.88%(55/68),and the recurrence rate of disease was 52.94%(9/17).The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Modified Shaoyao Gancao Decoction is effective in treating functional constipation with intestinal dryness and fluid deficiency syndrome.
