Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of intradermal needle combined with traditional Chinese medicine fumigation in the treatment of Sjogren's syndrome-related dry eye(SS-DED).Methods:Sixty cases were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group, with 30 cases in each group. Both groups were treated with conventional western medicine, and the observation group was treated with intradermal needle combined with traditional Chinese medicine fumigation. Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the scores of TCM syndromes, ocular surface disease index(OSDI),immunoglobulin IgG and erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05),and the tear secretion(SIT)and tear film rupture time(BUT)were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the levels of immunoglobulin IgM and rheumatoid factor(RF)between the two groups after treatment(P>0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Intradermal needle combined with traditional Chinese medicine fumigation is more effective and safer than simple western medicine in the treatment of SS-DED.
