Objective:To observe the curative effect of kidney-tonifying and collateral-dredging acupuncture combined with manual massage in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis.Methods:Ninety cases were divided into control group and observation group according to the random number table method,45 cases in each group.Both groups were treated with manual massage,and the observation group were treated with kidney-tonifying and collateral-dredging acupuncture in addition.Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the knee function(LKS)score and knee joint activity of the two groups increased(P<0.05),and those of the observation group were higher than the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the TCM symptom score,knee pain index(VAS)score,procalcitonin(PCT),C-reactive protein(CRP)and white blood cell count(WBC)levels in the two groups decreased(P<0.01),and those in the observation group were lower than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Kidney-tonifying and collateral-dredging acupuncture combined with manual massage could improve clinical symptoms and knee joint function in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis.
