Objective:To observe the effect of fire needle combined with Huodan Decoction in the treatment of postherpetic neuralgia(PHN).Methods:Sixty cases were divided into the control group and the study group according to the random number table method.The control group were treated with conventional western medicine while the study group were treated with fire needle combined with modified Huodan Decoction.Results:The total effective rate of the study group was higher than that of the control group(χ2=2.446,P=0.014＜0.05).After 4 weeks of treatment,the VAS and PSQI scores of the two groups decreased(P＜0.05),and the study group decreased more significantly(P＜0.05).Conclusion:Fire needle combined with modified Huodan Decoction could improve the clinical efficacy in the treatment of postherpetic neuralgia.
