Objective:To observe the curative effect of Chinese medicine internal and external treatment of ulcerative colitis(UC).Methods:Eighty-three cases were divided into two groups.Forty cases in the control group were treated with mesalazine and routine enema while forty-three cases in the observation group were treated with Heat Stasis Powder and herbal enema.Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the TCM symptom score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the levels of IL-6,CRP and TNF-α in the two groups decreased,and those in the observation group were lower than the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Heat Stasis Powder assisted herbal enema could improve the curative effectin the treatment of UC.
