Objective:To observe the efficacy of external application of Shuhuan Minfu Decoction combined with oral administration of Kanli Xiaozuo Decoction in treating papulopustular rosacea with heat-toxin accumulating in the skin syndrome.Methods:Sixty patients were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group,with 30 patients in each group.The control group were treated with Western medicine,while the observation group were treated with external application of Shuhuan Minfu Decoction combined with oral administration of Kanli Xiaozuo Decoction.Results:After treatment,the observation group showed lower TCM syndrome scores for erythema,papules,pustules,and itching compared to the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions was lower in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05),and the total effective rate was higher in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:External application of Shuhuan Minfu Decoction combined with oral administration of Kanli Xiaozuo Decoction is effective and safe in the treatment of papulopustular rosacea with heat-toxin accumulating in the skin syndrome.
