Objective:To observe the efficacy of modified Zhenwu Decoction as an adjuvant therapy in the treatment of chronic heart failure(CHF)with yang deficiency and water accumulation syndrome. Methods:A total of 110 patients were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group, with 55 patients in each group. Both groups received conventional Western medical treatment, and the treatment group additionally received modified Zhenwu Decoction. Results:The total effective rate was higher in the treatment group than the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome scores were lower in the treatment group than in the control group(P<0.05).The improvement in cardiac function was superior in the treatment group than the control group(P<0.05).Vascular endothelial function markers such as NO and ET-1,inflammatory factors including CTGF and TGF-β1,and cardiac function indicators like BNP were all improved in both groups post-treatment compared to pre-treatment(P<0.05),with the treatment group showing better improvements than the control group(P<0.05).The exercise tolerance and quality of life(QOL)scores were better in the treatment group than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Modified Zhenwu Decoction has good efficacy in adjuvant treatment of chronic heart failure with yang deficiency and water accumulation syndrome.
