Objective:To observe the therapeutic effect of absorbable screw internal fixation combined with Huoxue Zhitong Powder in the treatment of ankle fractures in elderly patients.Methods:Seventy-nine patients were divided into a control group(n=39)and an observation group(n=40)with an odd-even number method.Both groups underwent absorbable screw internal fixation,and the observation group additionally received Huoxue Zhitong Powder.Results:The total effective rate was higher in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).The postoperative hospital stay and fracture healing time were shorter in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).At the time point of the 14th day postoperatively,the VAS score in the observation group was lower than before treatment,and the AOFAS score was higher than before treatment,with a greater change amplitude compared to the control group(P<0.05).At the time point of the 14th day postoperatively,the plantar flexion and dorsiflexion angles in the observation group were higher than before treatment,and the increase was greater than that in the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions was lower in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The combination of Huoxue Zhitong Powder and absorbable screw internal fixation could improve therapeutic effect,accelerate the rehabilitation process,alleviate pain,enhance ankle function and range of motion,and reduce complications in the treatment of ankle fractures in elderly patients.
