Objective:To observe the efficacy of Mingmu Decoction combined with Timolol Maleate Eye Drops in treating glaucoma with syndrome of hyperactivity of fire due to yin deficiency.Methods:A total of 118 patients were randomly divided into two groups,with 59 patients in each group.Both groups were treated with Timolol Maleate Eye Drops,and the observation group were additionally treated with Mingmu Decoction in addition.Results:The total effective rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,intraocular pressure,visual field defect range,and RI decreased in both groups,and the observation group had lower values than the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,visual acuity,EDV,and VM increased in both groups,and the observation group had higher values than the control group(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Mingmu Decoction combined with Timolol Maleate Eye Drops is effective and safe in treating glaucoma with syndrome of hyperactivity of fire due to yin deficiency.
