Objective:To observe the effect of Bawei Decoction as an adjuvant therapy in the treatment of phlebitis syndrome. Methods:Sixty patients were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, with 30 patients in each group. Both groups received conventional Western medical treatment, and the observation group additionally received Bawei Decoction. Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the scores of lower extremity venous ultrasound, foot boot area pigmentation, pain and skin redness and swelling in the two groups decreased, and those in the observation group were lower than the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the plasma viscosity, low shear rate of whole blood viscosity and high shear rate of whole blood viscosity in the two groups decreased, and those in the observation group were lower than the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of platelet count(PLT)in the two groups decreased and those in the observation group were higher than the control group(P<0.05),while the levels of international normalized ratio(INR)and activated partial thromboplastin time(APTT)increased(P<0.05)and those in the observation group were lower than the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the levels of total bilirubin(TBIL),serum creatinine(Scr)and urea nitrogen(BUN)between the two groups before and after treatment(P>0.05).Conclusion:Bawei Decoction shows good efficacy in adjuvant treatment of phlebitis syndrome and has no significant adverse effects on liver and kidney function.
