Objective:To observe the efficacy of acupuncture combined with acupoint massage in treating post-stroke cognitive impairment(PSCI)with liver-kidney yin deficiency syndrome.Methods:Eighty-two patients were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group with a random number table method,with 41 patients in each group.The control group were treated with donepezil hydrochloride while the observation group received acupuncture at the acupoints Taixi and Sanyinjiao combined with massage therapy.Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the primary symptoms,secondary symptoms,and total scores were lower in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).Additionally,the scores of the Montreal Cognitive Assessment(MoCA)and Barthel Index(BI)were higher in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Acupuncture combined with acupoint massage is effective in treating PSCI with liver-kidney yin deficiency syndrome.
