Objective:To observe the effect of Mume Pills combined with warm acupuncture in the treatment of ulcerative colitis(UC).Methods:A total of 120 cases were divided into two groups according to the random number table method,with 60 cases in each group.The control group were treated with conventional western medicine while the experimental group were treated with Mume Pills combined with warm acupuncture.Results:The total effective rate of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The TCM syndrome scores of the two groups decreased after treatment and the experimental group was lower than the control group(P<0.05).The colonoscopy scores of the two groups decreased after treatment and those in the experimental group was lower than the control group(P<0.05).The disease activity index(DAI)scores of the two groups decreased after treatment and those in the experimental group was lower than the control group(P<0.05).The levels of malondialdehyde(MDA)and superoxide dismutase(SOD)in the two groups increased after treatment and those in the experimental group was higher than the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Mume Pills combined with warm acupuncture has a good curative effect on UC with less adverse reactions.
