Objective:To observe the effect of acupuncture at Dong's three shoulder points and Jin's three shoulder points combined with modified Guizhi Gegen Decoction in the treatment of wind-cold-dampness arthralgia type scapulohumeral periarthritis.Methods:Sixty cases were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method.Both groups were treated with acupuncture at Dong's three shoulder points and Jin's three shoulder points.The observation group were treated with modified Guizhi Gegen Decoction in addition.Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the scores of pain,daily living activity level,shoulder joint activity and muscle strength dimension in the observation group were better than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the scores of main symptoms,secondary symptoms and quantitative total scores of TCM syndromes in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).There were no serious adverse reactions in the two groups.The recurrence rate of the control group was higher than that of the observation group after 6 months of follow-up(P<0.05).Conclusion:Acupuncture combined with Guizhi Gegen Decoction has good curative effect,less recurrence and safety in the treatment of scapulohumeral periarthritis of wind-cold-dampness type.
