Tracing the Source of Culture to Build an Independent Knowledge System of Chinese Psychology:An Interview with Prof Yang Xinhui
The study of the history of Chinese psychological thought is a self-conscious and spontaneous initiative of Chinese psychologists,whose endeavour of nearly a century has led to a rigorous academic system and fruitful academic achievements.It has been proved that historical and cultural perspectives are inevitable and appropriate for building an independent knowledge system of Chinese psychology.As the founder and participant in the study of the history of Chinese psychological thought,Professor Yang Xinhui believes that Chinese traditional culture is rich in psychological thought,and the collation and discovery of this is an indispensable part of the construction of an independent knowledge system of Chinese psychology.To conduct research on the Chineseisation of psychology based on the history of Chinese psychological thought,it is necessary to adhere to the method of dialectical materialism and to achieve the unity of theoretical research and empirical research,academic research and practical application,history and modernity,and the unity of Chineseisation and internationalization.
