The Interface Governance of Organized Research in Universities:Theoretical Explanation and Practice Path
In the context of the era of big science, organized research in universities is an important form of responding to national strategic development and promoting original and new leading technological innovation. It is a major systematic project involving multiple factors and formats, and its core essence is to achieve collaborative linkage among multiple entities and elements. At its essence, organized research in universities achieves the coordination and adaptation of functions and objectives, internal structure and external environment through governance interfaces, emphasizing the reshaping of research paradigms related to interface governance. In view of this, the theory of interface governance is embedded in the practical mechanism of organized research in universities, following the vertical, horizontal, and oblique dimensions to understand the interface governance of organized research in universities, explaining the core elements of the functions and objectives, internal structure, external environment, and interface generation of organized research in universities, and clarifying the internal logic of organized research in universities from the perspective of interface governance theory.Organized research in universities should start from four aspects:value goals, conceptual consensus, institutional drive, and cross-border collaboration, further consolidating the cohesive interface governance system, constructing an elastic interface management mechanism, forming a permeable interface governance structure, and creating an interactive interface governance network. The reconstruction of governance interfaces across fields, disciplines, departments, and spaces is the deepening path for organized research in universities.
