Virtual Internationalization:A New Direction in the Internationalization of Higher Education in the Digital Age
Virtual internationalization has become a new direction for the internationalization of higher education in the digital age.Virtual internationalization includes three dimensions:global,cross-cultural and international.It has the characteristics of not relying on cross-border physical flows,enriching the connotation of internationalization in the digital age,and transcending time and space.Promoting the virtual internationalization of higher education is an inevitable requirement for the digital transformation of higher education in the digital age and for adhering to the high-level opening up of education to the outside world.At present,our country has realistic conditions and a solid foundation for realizing the virtual internationalization of higher education.However,the virtual internationalization development of higher education is still facing difficulties in terms of concept,reality,system and order.Therefore,accelerating the transformation of the concept of virtual internationalization of higher education,accelerating the technical promotion of virtual internationalization of higher education,strengthening the institutional supply of virtual internationalization of higher education,and stepping up the construction of the discourse of virtual internationalization of higher education will be the main path for the development of virtual internationalization of higher education in our country in the future.
