The protective effect of Shengdi Dahuang Tang on rats with cerebral hemorrhage and its effects on gut microbiota and short chain fatty acids
Objective To observe the protective effect of Shengdi Dahuang Tang on rats with cerebral hemorrhage and its effects on gut microbiota and short chain fatty acids. Methods 30 rats were randomly divided into a sham surgery group,a model group, and a Shengdi Dahuang Tang group. After 6 hours of modeling, the Shengdi Dahuang Tang group was orally administered Shengdi Dahuang Tang(18.51g·kg-1·d-1),while the sham surgery group and model group were orally administered an equal a-mount of physiological saline, once a day,for a continuous intervention of 3 days.Perform neurological function scores at 3 hours,1 day,and 3 days after modeling;Three days after modeling, fecal samples were collected, and the species composition of gut microbiota in each group was compared using high-throughput 16S rRNA sequencing. The content of short chain fatty acids(SCFAs)in rat feces was detected by gas chromatography;Three days after modeling, brain tissue was taken to measure brain water content and TUNEL positive cells were detected. Results After 3 days of modeling, compared with the sham surgery group, the intestinal microbiota structure of the model group rats was disrupted, the content of short chain fatty acids(SCFAs)was re-duced,and the neurological deficit score, brain water content, and apoptosis number of brain tissue cells were increased;Shengdi Dahuang Tang can improve various indicators of the model group rats. Conclusion Shengdi Dahuang Tang has a protective effect on rats with cerebral hemorrhage, which may be related to restoring the normal composition of intestinal microbiota and increasing the concentration of short chain fatty acids.
