Proteomic study of Tuina on the colon of the experimental colitis mice
Objective To explore the therapeutic effect and mechanism of Tuina on experimental colitis mice. Methods Eighteen male BALA/c mice were randomly divided into the normal, model, and tuina groups. The experimental colitis model was induced by dextran sodium sulfate(DSS)in the model and Tuina group. The Tuina group was intervened 7 d after modeling, and the gen-eral conditions such as body weight and blood stool were recorded during the experiment. After 7 interventions, colon tissues were taken for HE staining and proteomics study. Results The general condition of UC mice improved after Tuina interventions, and HE staining showed a reduced degree of colon tissue pathologies. The proteomic results showed a total of 216 differential proteins associated with the effect of Tuina,402 metabolic pathways identified by iPath analysis, and 262 pathways enriched by KEGG a-nalysis.Conclusion China can improve the inflammatory symptoms of UC,and its action mechanism may be related to vitamin digestion and absorption, arachidonic acid metabolism, and regulation of inflammatory mediators by TRP channels.
