Effects of nitrogens types on root growth and physiological characteristics of Callerya speciosa
Objective To provide theoretical guidance for the rational use of fertilizer in field cultivation of Callerya speciosa, the effects of different nitrogen types on the growth and yield traits were studied. Methods Callerya speciosa variety of'Guangze No.1'was used as materials for the research, with the potting experiment in greenhouse, different nitrogens trmeats:monoammonium phosphate(T,),ammonium sulfate(T2),calcium nitrate(T3),urea(T4),water without nitrogen(T0)as control, and the morphology,photo-synthetic parameters, physiological indexes and root growth indexes were observed and detected. Results Ammonium sulfate(T2)can significantly enhance the net photosynthetic rate, promote the formation and expansion of lateral roots. And the roots fresh weight,ex-panded root fresh weight and dry weight, number of expanded root, root length and up-ground part fresh weight, were 31.79%,24.48%,29.51%,71.18%,6.93%,27.29%significantly higher than T0,and higher than other treatments.Ammonium sulfate(T2)and calcium nitrate(T3)can significantly increase the soluble sugar content soluble protein content of Callerya speciosa, strengthen the ac-tivities of nitrate reductase(NR)and glutamine synthetase(GS),but the root growth indexes of calcium nitrate(T3)were not signif-icant difference with the control(T0).Conclusion Ammonium sulfate had nice promotive effect on the growth and root enlargement of Callerya speciosa.
