Treatment of arteriogenic erectile dysfunction from the perspective of kidney deficiency,blood stasis,dampness-heat and the application of herbal paste
Arteriogenic erectile dysfunction is a common disease in the male department,which belongs to the category of"impotence"in TCM.Now we based on the three dimensions of kidney deficiency,blood stasis and dampness-heat,the etiology and pathogenesis of AED were analyzed and discussed.In views of different pathogenesis,we summarizes the AED's TCM syndrome such as kidney deficien-cy syndrome,kidney deficiency and blood stasis syndrome and kidney deficiency and dampness-heat syndrome.Mean while,putting forward the principles of treating AED by tonifying and replenishing the kidneys as the basis,as well as attaching importance to activating the blood and resolving stasis and clearing heat and draining dampness in order to treat the root and branch simultaneously and take both elimination and reinforcement into account.As a suitable modality for chronic diseases,which advocates syndrome differentiation,indi-vidualized therapy and body conditioning,the herbal paste can be applied to the treatment of AED.By discussing the"identification"and"treatment"of AED,hoping to provide a theoretical reference for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of arterial erectile dysfunction in TCM.
