A Study on the Relationship between Belief in a Just World and Mental Health of Vocational Medical Students:Base on a Survey of Students from the Vocational Medical College in Quanzhou
To understand the status,characteristic and relationship of belief in a just world and mental health of vocational medical students,677 students from a vocational medical college of Quanzhou were in-vestigated by questionnaire on belief in a just world,symptom checklist 90(SCL-90)and life satisfaction.The results show that the mental health level of the medical students is higher than the norm level of the national college students;and belief in a just world has a significant negative correlation with SCL-90 score and a significant positive correlation with life satisfaction;and the higher the level of belief in a just world,the lower the SCL-90 score,the higher the level of mental health,and the higher the level of life satis-faction.Belief in a just world is helpful to maintain the mental health of medical students in higher voca-tional colleges,and can promote the beneficial combination of ideological and political education and mental health education from the perspective of justice.
