翻译美学视角下地域文化元素英译研究——以小说《青铜葵花》英译为例
English Translation of Regional Cultural Elements under the Perspective of Translation Aesthetics:A Case Study of Bronze and Sunflower

摘要
从刘宓庆翻译美学理论视角出发,从语音、文字、词语、句段等形式系统层面以及情、志、意、象等非形式系统层面,对曹文轩的儿童文学作品《青铜葵花》中包含江苏地域文化元素的典型译例进行了详细对比和深入分析,从形式与非形式系统方面探讨译者的审美再现实践与策略.研究发现,在翻译实践中以美的再现为出发点和落脚点,是促进中国儿童文学乃至更广泛意义上的中国文学和文化对外翻译与传播的有效途径.
Abstract
Taking Liu Miqing's Translation Aesthetics as a theoretical perspective,this paper makes a detailed comparison and in-depth analysis of typical examples from Cao Wenxuan's Bronze and Sunflower,a novel for children rich in regional cultural elements of Jiangsu Province.Discussed both in terms of the formal system of phonology,diction,syntax and text,as well as the non-formal system of emotion,aspira-tion,meaning,and image,it explores the translator's practice of and decision-making in the process of aes-thetic representation.The study finds that prioritizing aesthetic representation is an effective way to promote the translation and dissemination of Chinese children's literature,and Chinese literature and culture at large.
