Visual Analysis of the Evaluation of Foreign Language Teaching in China over the Past Forty Years Based on CiteSpace(1984-2023)
This article uses CiteSpace tool to visually analyze the research on foreign language teaching evaluation in China from 1984 to 2023,and uses bibliometric method to sort out and analyze the develop-ment stages,research authors,research institutions,research hotspots,and development trends of foreign lan-guage teaching evaluation research in China over the past forty years.The research results show that domes-tic foreign language teaching evaluation research has gone through a period of initial development,rapid development,and deepening period of fluctuation adjustment.Meanwhile,the core authors and institutional groups of foreign language teaching evaluation research in China have not yet formed.The flipped class-room teaching model and its diversified teaching evaluation system,as well as the related research on the e-valuation system of ideological and political education in university foreign language courses,are at the forefront of research in recent years.In the future,it is necessary to strengthen cooperation between re-search authors and institutions,adopt more diversified research methods,and focus on the reform of the foreign language teaching evaluation system empowered by digital intelligence.
